1UP|Super Mushroom Amigurumi
I’m so excited to finally share the beginning of a series of new amigurumis inspired by the colourful universe starring everyone’s favourite Italian plumber! The first pattern I’m sharing is for my 1UP/Super Mushroom.
The pattern consists of three YouTube videos:
Part 1: Green/Red Top (Fri, 22 August at 20:00BST)
Part 2: The Face (Fri, 29 August at 20:00BST)
Part 3: White Spots (Fri, 5 September at 20:00BST)
I’d say this is very beginner friendly pattern, in case you’re new to crocheting. So happy crocheting everyone! Let’s into the details.
YARN & HOOK
2mm hook
Stylecraft Special DK in Matador, Stone and White for Super Mushroom, and Kelly Green, Stone and White for 1UP Mushroom
6.5mm Black oval safety eyes
Toy filling
Pins to place pieces before sewing together
Needle
Scissors
Stitch markers (I prefer using scrap yarn as “stitch markers”)
SIZE
Super Mushroom is approximately 5cm tall, the mushroom top is 6cm in width and the face is 3.7cm in width.
Weight: 15grams (this includes all materials used to make Super Mushroom)
STITCHES & ABBREVIATIONS – UK ENGLISH
dc double crochet
st/sts stitch/es
inc increase; dc 2 in one st
dec decrease; insert hook in the front loop of the next two sts, yarn over, pull through both loops, y.o. and pull through remaining two loops. This is also referred to as an invisible decrease.

THE PATTERN
PART ONE | GREEN/RED MUSHROOM TOP
I have used Stylecraft Special DK in Kelly Green for the 1UP Mushroom, and Matador for the Super Mushroom
PART TWO | THE FACE
I have used Stylecraft Special DK in Stone to create the face on both the 1UP Mushroom, and Super Mushroom
VIDEO COMING FRIDAY, 29 AUGUST
PART THREE | WHITE SPOTS
I have used Stylecraft Special DK in White to create the spots. There are two different sizes. We will be making 4 x Big Spots to go around the mushroom, and 1 x small spot which goes on the top of the mushroom
