Psyduck’s Swim Ring Pattern
Let me start off by saying this pattern is well overdue! I’m not very good at posting things when they’re still relevant. It'‘s not exactly the most groundbreaking pattern, but I hope someone out there is looking to make one.
My swim ring is going to be a replica of the one Psyduck wore in PokemonGo this past summer.
I started off by making a long tube, which is then shaped into a ring by pinning and sewing the two ends together. The swim ring is two colours (White and Turquoise) in 2 sections each. To split the pattern into 4 sections I measured Psyduck’s waist to work out how long each section should be.
My Psyduck’s waist is approximately 22cm, so each section (4) should be 5.5cm. I’ve added on a bit of lenght so that each section is 7cm. This is because when you bend the tube into a ring the inner part that touches Psyduck’s waist shortens, whereas the outer part stretches. When you start the first section of the swim ring I would recommend measuring it against Psyduck’s waist to make sure it covers 1/4 of the way around.
Let’s get startet!
